For the vast majority of our locations you are allowed to bring your own food and drink. However, each venue has different policies they need to implement. Confirmation of the exact policy for your chosen location can be found on our website, on the specific location pages. If you cannot find the relevant information, please contact us via the website for confirmation.
Anyone under the age of 18 has to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is part of our Alcohol Licensing Objectives. In addition to this, the film certification will also be strictly applied.
All licensed bars run by The Lost Cinema have adopted the Challenge 25 Policy. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over when you buy alcohol.
Your ticket reference number Some ID in the name of the ticket holder to gain entry Suitable clothing to stay warm and dry A torch. (The route back to your car may not be lit) Some cash for the bar (not all venues accept CC's) Some photo id if you're lucky enough to look under 25
What's a little rain between friends?! If it rains we just need to call upon the Great British spirit, dress accordingly, and live for the moment. We will have some disposable ponchos available too if that helps :-)
Films will start shortly after sunset. This time changes throughout the year. If you're running a little late, be rest assured that the film will start no earlier than the advertised time.
For most venues you are allowed to bring your own picnic blanket or chair. However if you do choose to bring a chair you may be asked to sit to the side or the back so that you don't obstruct the view of others. Some venues will not be suitable for chairs, for example if the main seating area is steeply sloped. We will specify on each location page whether there is any restrictions to seating. Feel free to email us with the venue you're interested in and we will confirm either way.
The film certification always applies. However even if the film is a PG we don't allow babies to attend and I honestly wouldn't recommend bringing young children. The film doesn't start until about 45 mins after sunset. We find that small children get cold, tired and fed up with the noise to the point where they want to go home.
We've had screenings with people having to leave before the end of the film (and some even before the start) because their children were crying to go home. My advice would be to get a baby sitter and enjoy your evening out.
All of our venues will be designated No Smoking areas for the comfort of our guests. Please be considerate of others and abide by this rule.
All of our venues will have toilet facilities. Some will be permanent and others will be hired in. If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us.
In the unlikely event that the screening is cancelled we will contact you to let you know, so please check your emails leading up to the evening. Especially if there is a hurricane predicted! We will then give you the opportunity to exchange your tickets for an alternative screening.
We will do our upmost to make the venues as accessible as possible. Please feel free to email us with your chosen venue so that we can provide additional information and assistance if required.
Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or returned and all ticket purchases are final. The Lost Cinema does not provide refunds for booking the wrong film, if the ticket holder is no longer able to attend or is refused entry due to not meeting the terms & conditions.
We will always try to select venues that are either centrally located or have parking. Please read the individual location page for the relevant information.
Most venues do have the facility to take credit cards at the bar. However this is dependant upon a phone signal. There will be the odd occasion where we will only be able to take cash so please remember to bring some with you as a back up.
You won't be able to pay for a ticket on the door. However you can buy tickets online and use your reference number to gain access to the event as long as its not sold out.
Gone are the days when you had to wait for the postman to deliver your tickets. Simply present your confirmation email and the card you made the purchase with to gain access to the venue.
Unfortunately only guide dogs are allowed.
With a standard admission ticket no seating is provided unless specifically stating so. You have the freedom to bring your own blanket/rug, purchase one from us or you can upgrade to a Admission + Seat ticket.
